How To Broil Lobster Tails?

Preheat the broiler on high

Position an oven rack about 4 to 6 inches from the heat

Split the lobster tails lengthwise through the top shell with kitchen shears

Loosen the meat from the shell and lift it slightly on top of the shell

Place the tails on a baking sheet

Brush the meat with melted butter

Season with salt, pepper, garlic, paprika, or lemon juice if desired

Broil for 1 to 2 minutes per ounce of tail weight

Check for doneness when the meat is opaque and lightly browned

Remove from the oven when the internal temperature reaches 140 to 145°F

Serve immediately with melted butter and lemon wedges
