Remove the husks and silk from the corn
Rinse the ears under cool water
Fill a large pot with enough water to cover the corn
Bring the water to a boil over high heat
Add the corn to the boiling water
Reduce the heat to medium if needed to maintain a gentle boil
Cook for 4 to 6 minutes, until tender and bright yellow
Remove the corn with tongs
Drain briefly
Serve immediately with butter, salt, or other seasonings
