How To Make Hot Chips From Potatoes?

Wash and peel the potatoes if desired

Slice the potatoes very thinly

Soak the slices in cold water for 20 to 30 minutes

Drain the slices and pat them completely dry

Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F to 375°F

Fry the potato slices in small batches until golden and crisp

Remove the chips and drain on paper towels

Sprinkle immediately with salt and any desired seasonings

Serve hot
