Press the touchpad toggle key on the keyboard, usually Fn + F7, Fn + F6, or the key with a touchpad icon
Open Settings
Go to Bluetooth & devices
Click Touchpad
Turn off Touchpad
Open Control Panel
Click Hardware and Sound
Click Mouse
Open the Device Settings, ELAN, Synaptics, or Touchpad tab
Select the touchpad device
Click Disable
Open Device Manager
Expand Mice and other pointing devices
Right-click the touchpad device
Click Disable device
Restart the laptop if needed
