How To Cook Broccolini?

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) or bring a pot of salted water to a boil

Rinse broccolini and pat dry

Trim tough ends (if needed)

Leave whole or cut into 2–3 inch pieces

Roasted (oven)

Toss broccolini with olive oil, salt, and black pepper

Optional: add minced garlic, red pepper flakes, and lemon zest

Spread in a single layer on a baking sheet

Roast 10–15 minutes, turning once halfway

Optional: finish with a squeeze of lemon and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan

Sautéed (stovetop)

Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat

Add broccolini and sauté 4–7 minutes, tossing often

Optional: add garlic for the last 30–60 seconds

Optional: splash in a little water or broth, then reduce until glossy

Steamed

Steam over simmering water 3–6 minutes until crisp-tender

Drain well

Toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, and optional lemon juice or soy sauce

Boiled (quick blanch)

Boil salted water

Cook broccolini 2–4 minutes

Drain and optionally plunge into ice water, then drain again

Toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, and optional garlic or Parmesan

Grilled

Preheat grill to medium-high

Toss with olive oil, salt, pepper

Grill 3–6 minutes, turning once, until charred and tender

Optional: finish with lemon juice and shaved Parmesan

Microwave (fast)

Place broccolini in a microwave-safe bowl with 1–2 tbsp water

Drain excess water and season
