How To Get Gum Out Of Clothes?

Freeze the gum with an ice cube or ice pack for 15–30 minutes

Scrape off loosened gum with a dull knife, spoon, or credit card

If residue remains, apply a small amount of peanut butter or vegetable oil to the spot

Gently rub with fingers or a soft brush for 1–2 minutes

Wash the garment in the warmest water safe for the fabric, using laundry detergent

For remaining streaks, apply dish soap directly to the spot and rub gently

Let sit 5–10 minutes, then wash again

For delicate fabrics, use rubbing alcohol on a cotton pad and dab the gum residue

Blot and repeat until the gum transfers to the cotton, then rinse and wash

For synthetics or tougher fabrics, use WD-40 sparingly on the gum, then wipe off

Wash immediately afterward with dish soap or laundry detergent

Dry the garment only after the gum is fully removed

If still present after washing, repeat the oil/dish-soap step before drying
