Apply a cold compress or wrapped ice pack for 10–15 minutes at a time during the first 24 hours

Gently massage the area around the hickey, not hard enough to irritate it
Apply aloe vera gel or arnica gel if available
Use vitamin K cream if available
Keep the area elevated when possible
Avoid scratching or rubbing the hickey
Stay hydrated
Cover it with makeup or clothing if you need to hide it quickly
Give it time, since most hickeys fade on their own within a few days to two weeks
