Trim the ends
Cut the carrots into even pieces
Place the carrots on a baking sheet
Drizzle with olive oil
Add salt and pepper
Toss to coat evenly
Spread the carrots in a single layer
Roast for 20 to 30 minutes
Flip halfway through cooking
Roast until tender and lightly browned
Serve immediately
