Rinse the spinach thoroughly under cold water
Remove any tough stems or damaged leaves
Place a steamer basket in a pot with a small amount of water
Bring the water to a boil
Add the spinach to the steamer basket
Cover the pot with a lid
Steam for 1 to 3 minutes, until wilted
Remove the spinach from the steamer
Drain any excess water
Season as desired and serve
