Gently massage the neck with light pressure, moving from behind the ears down toward the collarbone
Use slow, sweeping strokes along the sides of the neck toward the base of the neck
Keep movements soft and shallow, not deep or forceful
Repeat strokes several times on each side
Stay well hydrated
Use warm compresses on the neck if it feels comfortable
Practice deep breathing to help support lymph flow
Move your head and neck gently with slow stretches
Maintain good posture to reduce fluid buildup
Seek medical care if swelling is persistent, painful, red, warm, or associated with fever or difficulty swallowing or breathing
