Unplug the dryer and move it away from the wall
Locate the dryer exhaust outlet
Fit the vent hose over the outlet
Secure the hose with a hose clamp or foil tape
Attach the other end of the hose to the wall vent
Secure that connection with a clamp or foil tape
Keep the hose as short and straight as possible
Avoid kinks, crushing, or sharp bends
Push the dryer back into place carefully
Check that the vent remains connected and unobstructed
