How to Balance a Washer?

Unplug the washer

Remove any laundry from the drum

Check that the washer is level front to back and side to side

Adjust the leveling feet until the washer sits firmly on the floor

Tighten the lock nuts on the leveling feet

Press down on each corner to confirm the washer does not rock

Make sure the floor is solid and even

Redistribute the load evenly if the washer is unbalanced during use

Avoid overloading the washer

Place heavy items with lighter items to help balance the load

Check that the shipping bolts have been removed if the washer is newly installed

Inspect the drum for uneven movement or damage

Clean any debris under the washer

Test the washer on a spin cycle to confirm stability
