Find a horse in a plains, savanna, or meadow biome
Approach the horse slowly
Make sure your hands are empty
Right-click or tap the horse to mount it
Keep trying to ride it until it stops bucking you off
Wait for heart particles to appear
Open the horse’s inventory
Equip a saddle to ride it
Feed it apples, golden apples, wheat, sugar, hay bales, or carrots to heal or tame it faster
Use a lead to keep it close
Protect it from mobs and fall damage
Breed it with another tamed horse using golden apples or golden carrots
