Heat a skillet over medium-high heat
Add the hamburger meat to the hot skillet
Break the meat into small pieces with a spatula or spoon
Cook until the meat is no longer pink
Stir and turn the meat occasionally for even browning
Drain off excess grease if needed
Season as desired after browning
