Remove the mats from the car
Shake off loose dirt and debris
Vacuum both sides of the mats
Rinse rubber or all-weather mats with water
Apply mild soap or car mat cleaner
Scrub with a brush or sponge
Rinse thoroughly
Clean carpet mats with upholstery cleaner or mild detergent
Blot excess moisture with a towel
Let the mats air dry completely
Reinstall the mats only when fully dry
