Empty the capsule container and drip tray
Fill the water tank with fresh potable water
Run a rinse cycle: press the appropriate brew button to run water through the machine without a capsule
If you have a model with a removable water tank, remove and rinse it, then refill with fresh water
Clean the capsule area and funnel with a dry cloth or soft brush
Wipe the exterior surfaces with a damp cloth, then dry
Remove and rinse the drip tray and capsule container with warm water
If needed, wash parts with mild dish soap, then rinse thoroughly and dry
Descale the machine using Nespresso descaling solution
Follow the descaling instructions for your model: fill tank with descaling solution and start the descaling cycle
When the descaling cycle ends, empty the tank and drip tray
Rinse the system: fill tank with fresh water and run multiple rinse cycles until the water runs clear and no descaling solution remains
Clean the needle area if your model supports access: use a soft brush and wipe away residue
Let all parts dry completely before reassembling
Run a final water-only rinse cycle before brewing capsules again
