How To Remove Tarnish From Silver?

Rinse the silver under warm water and dry thoroughly with a soft, lint-free cloth

Use a silver polishing cloth and polish gently in straight strokes, then buff dry

For heavier tarnish, use silver polish or silver dip according to the product directions

Line a bowl with aluminum foil, add hot water, add baking soda (about 1 tablespoon per cup), place silver in the solution, and remove when tarnish fades, then rinse and dry

Make a paste of baking soda and water, apply lightly with a soft cloth, gently rub, rinse, and dry

Use a non-abrasive silver cleaner/cream designed for tarnish removal, following label directions, then rinse and dry

Use white vinegar soak for 2–5 minutes (for light tarnish), then rinse and dry thoroughly

Avoid abrasive sponges, steel wool, and harsh cleaners

Avoid prolonged soaking in any solutions

Store silver in anti-tarnish bags or wrapped in anti-tarnish cloth, and keep it dry
