Put on gloves
Wipe out loose crumbs and debris
Mix baking soda with water into a paste
Spread the paste on dirty oven surfaces
Avoid heating elements and vents
Leave the paste on overnight
Wipe away the paste with a damp cloth
Spray vinegar on remaining residue if needed
Scrub stubborn spots with a non-abrasive sponge
Clean oven racks separately with warm soapy water
Dry racks and oven surfaces completely
Replace racks and trays
Run the oven briefly to remove any remaining moisture
