Remove the grates from the oven
Let the grates cool completely
Fill a sink or tub with hot water and dish soap
Soak the grates for 15 to 30 minutes
Scrub with a non-abrasive sponge or brush
Use a paste of baking soda and water on stubborn grease
Let the paste sit for 10 to 15 minutes
Scrub again until clean
Rinse thoroughly with clean water
Dry completely with a towel
Reinstall the grates only when fully dry
