Preheat the oven to 325°F
Place the ham cut-side down in a roasting pan
Add a small amount of water to the bottom of the pan
Cover the ham tightly with foil
Bake until heated through, about 10 to 15 minutes per pound for a fully cooked ham
If using a glaze, remove the foil during the last 20 to 30 minutes of baking
Brush the glaze over the ham
Return the ham to the oven uncovered
Bake until the glaze is set and the internal temperature reaches 140°F for a fully cooked ham or 145°F for a raw ham
Remove the ham from the oven
Let it rest for 15 to 20 minutes before slicing
Slice and serve
