Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C)
Remove the husks and silk from the corn
Rinse the corn and pat it dry
Place the corn on a baking sheet or directly on the oven rack
Brush with butter or oil if desired
Season with salt and pepper if desired
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, turning halfway through
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly
Serve warm
