Thaw frozen snow crab legs in the refrigerator overnight or under cold running water for 10 to 15 minutes
Rinse the crab legs under cold water
Fill a large pot with water
Add salt to the water if desired
Bring the water to a boil
Place a steamer basket in the pot if steaming
Add the crab legs to the steamer basket or boiling water
Cover the pot
Steam for 5 to 7 minutes if thawed
Steam for 8 to 10 minutes if frozen
Boil for 4 to 6 minutes if thawed
Boil for 6 to 8 minutes if frozen
Remove the crab legs with tongs
Drain well
Serve with melted butter, lemon, or seasoning if desired
