Rinse the rice until the water runs mostly clear
Measure 1 cup rice and 2 cups water
Add the rice, water, and a pinch of salt to a pot
Bring to a boil over medium-high heat
Reduce the heat to low and cover with a lid
Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes without stirring
Turn off the heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes
Fluff the rice with a fork
Serve warm
