Remove the chicken from any packaging
Place the chicken on a microwave-safe plate
Use the microwave’s defrost setting or set power to 30%
Defrost in short intervals of 1 to 2 minutes
Flip or separate pieces between intervals
Check frequently to prevent cooking the edges
Continue until the chicken is thawed but still cold
Cook the chicken immediately after defrosting
Wash hands and clean any surfaces that touched raw chicken
