Open Gmail
Select the emails you want to delete
Click the Delete icon
To delete all emails in a folder, open the folder first
Click the Select all checkbox
Click the Delete icon
To delete emails on mobile, open the Gmail app
Tap and hold an email to select it
Select additional emails if needed
Tap the Delete icon
To permanently remove deleted emails, open Trash
Click or tap Empty Trash now
To delete emails by search, enter a search term in the Gmail search bar
Select the matching emails
Click or tap the Delete icon
