Wash your hands
Use a clean sinus rinse bottle, neti pot, or squeeze bottle
Use distilled, sterile, or previously boiled and cooled water
Mix the saline packet with the correct amount of water, or use a sterile saline solution
Lean over a sink and tilt your head forward
Turn your head slightly to one side
Breathe through your mouth
Gently pour or squeeze the solution into the upper nostril
Let the fluid drain out of the other nostril or your mouth
Repeat on the other side
Blow your nose gently after rinsing
Clean and air-dry the device after use
Use the rinse only as directed by your healthcare provider or product instructions
