Hold one chopstick between your thumb and ring finger, resting it on the base of your index finger
Place the second chopstick between your thumb and index finger, supported by your middle finger
Keep the bottom chopstick still
Move only the top chopstick up and down to grip food
Pick up small pieces of food with the tips of the chopsticks
Use a gentle grip to avoid dropping food
Practice with larger foods first if needed
Rest the chopsticks on the table or chopstick rest when not using them
Do not stab food with the chopsticks
Do not rub chopsticks together unless they are disposable and splintery
