Turn off and unplug the Dyson
Remove the bin from the main body if your model allows it
Hold the bin over a trash can
Press the bin release button or lever
Let the dirt and debris fall out
Tap the bin gently if needed
Close the bin securely
Reattach the bin to the vacuum if removed
Check that the filter and cyclone area are clear if needed
