How to Find Period Physics?

For a repeating motion, identify one full cycle

Measure the time taken to complete one full cycle

Use the formula Period = Time taken / Number of cycles

For one cycle, Period = Time for one complete oscillation

If frequency is known, use Period = 1 / Frequency

Use SI unit seconds (s)

For a pendulum, measure the time for several oscillations and divide by the number of oscillations

For a wave, measure the time between two successive identical points passing a fixed point

For circular motion, measure the time for one complete revolution
