Pat the fish dry with paper towels
Season the fish with salt, pepper, and any desired spices
Place flour in one bowl
Beat eggs in a second bowl
Dredge each piece of fish in flour, coating all sides
Dip the floured fish into the beaten eggs
Return the fish to the flour for a second coating
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat
Place the coated fish into the hot oil
Fry until golden brown on one side
Flip and fry the other side until golden brown
Remove the fish and drain on paper towels
Serve immediately
