File the shiny top layer of the gel polish
Soak a cotton ball in acetone
Place the cotton ball on the nail
Wrap each nail with foil or use nail clips
Wait 10 to 15 minutes
Gently push off the softened gel with a cuticle pusher or orangewood stick
Repeat soaking if the gel is still stubborn
Lightly buff any remaining residue
Wash hands and apply cuticle oil or moisturizer
