Preheat grill to medium-high heat
Peel back husks if using husked corn, remove silk, then fold husks back over the kernels
Soak husked corn in water for 15 to 30 minutes if grilling in husks
Brush shucked corn lightly with oil or melted butter
Place corn on the grill
Turn corn every 2 to 3 minutes
Grill until kernels are tender and lightly charred, about 10 to 15 minutes
Remove from grill
Season with salt, butter, or desired toppings
