Rest the wrist
Stop activities that cause pain
Apply ice for 15–20 minutes every 2–3 hours
Wrap the wrist with an elastic bandage
Keep the wrist elevated above heart level
Use a wrist brace or splint if needed
Take over-the-counter pain relievers if safe for you
Gently move the wrist as pain allows
Avoid heavy lifting or twisting
Seek medical care if pain is severe, swelling is major, or movement is limited
Get checked if symptoms do not improve within a few days
