Turn off the HVAC system or vehicle engine
Locate the air filter compartment
Open the filter cover or housing
Remove the old air filter
Check the airflow direction arrow on the new filter
Insert the new filter in the correct direction
Make sure the filter fits securely
Close the filter cover or housing
Turn the system back on and verify proper operation
