Start the car or turn the ignition to the accessory/on position
Locate the headlight control switch or stalk
Turn the switch to the parking light or headlight setting
If needed, turn on the low-beam headlights
Use the high-beam control if required
Turn on the interior light switch only if needed
Check the dashboard for the headlight indicator
Turn the switch back to off when finished
