Dry the area thoroughly after bathing
Use an over-the-counter antifungal cream, spray, or powder
Apply the antifungal exactly as directed on the label
Continue treatment for the full recommended time
Wash towels, underwear, and workout clothes after each use
Do not share towels, clothing, or athletic gear
Avoid scratching the rash
Treat athlete’s foot at the same time if present
See a healthcare professional if it is severe, spreading, painful, or not improving
