How to Know If It’s Implantation Bleeding?

Light spotting rather than a heavy flow

Pink or brown color instead of bright red

Very small amount of blood

Lasts a few hours to 1–2 days

Happens about 6–12 days after ovulation

No clots or large tissue pieces

Mild or no cramping

Does not get progressively heavier

Occurs around the time a period is expected but is shorter and lighter

Pregnancy test may turn positive a few days later

If bleeding is heavy, painful, or prolonged, it is less likely to be implantation bleeding
