Many STIs have no symptoms

Unusual vaginal, penile, or anal discharge

Burning or pain when urinating

Sores, blisters, bumps, or warts on the genitals, anus, or mouth

Itching, irritation, redness, or swelling in the genital area

Pain during sex

Lower abdominal or pelvic pain

Bleeding between periods or after sex

Testicular pain or swelling

Rash on the body, palms, or soles

Fever, sore throat, swollen glands, or flu-like symptoms after sexual contact

Pain, bleeding, or discharge from the rectum

A recent sexual partner told you they have an STI

You had unprotected sex or a condom broke

You had sex with a new or multiple partners

You shared needles or other injection equipment

Only a medical test can confirm an STI
