Measure the door and choose a solid, flat door suitable for epoxy coating
Remove the door from its hinges and place it on a level work surface
Remove all hardware, handles, locks, and hinges
Clean the door thoroughly to remove dust, grease, and debris
Sand the surface to create proper adhesion
Fill dents, holes, and cracks with wood filler or epoxy filler
Sand again until the surface is smooth and even
Wipe the door clean and let it dry completely
Tape off any areas you do not want coated
Apply a suitable primer if required by the epoxy system
Mix the epoxy resin and hardener according to the manufacturer’s instructions
Add pigment, colorant, metallic powder, or decorative additives if desired
Pour or spread the epoxy evenly over the door surface
Use a squeegee, roller, or brush to level the coating
Remove air bubbles with a heat gun or torch if compatible with the epoxy
Allow the first coat to cure fully
Apply additional epoxy coats if needed for thickness and coverage
Let the final coat cure completely
Sand lightly between coats if recommended by the product
Apply a clear protective topcoat if desired
Reinstall hardware after the finish has fully cured
Rehang the door carefully and check alignment
Keep the door protected from dust, moisture, and impact during curing
