How To Make An Epoxy Door?

Measure the door and choose a solid, flat door suitable for epoxy coating

Remove the door from its hinges and place it on a level work surface

Remove all hardware, handles, locks, and hinges

Clean the door thoroughly to remove dust, grease, and debris

Sand the surface to create proper adhesion

Fill dents, holes, and cracks with wood filler or epoxy filler

Sand again until the surface is smooth and even

Wipe the door clean and let it dry completely

Tape off any areas you do not want coated

Apply a suitable primer if required by the epoxy system

Mix the epoxy resin and hardener according to the manufacturer’s instructions

Add pigment, colorant, metallic powder, or decorative additives if desired

Pour or spread the epoxy evenly over the door surface

Use a squeegee, roller, or brush to level the coating

Remove air bubbles with a heat gun or torch if compatible with the epoxy

Allow the first coat to cure fully

Apply additional epoxy coats if needed for thickness and coverage

Let the final coat cure completely

Sand lightly between coats if recommended by the product

Apply a clear protective topcoat if desired

Reinstall hardware after the finish has fully cured

Rehang the door carefully and check alignment

Keep the door protected from dust, moisture, and impact during curing
