Prepare pizza dough and let it rest at room temperature
Roll the dough into a large circle or oval
Spread sauce on one half of the dough
Add shredded mozzarella cheese
Add desired fillings such as pepperoni, cooked sausage, vegetables, or mushrooms
Leave a border around the edge for sealing
Fold the empty half of the dough over the filling
Press the edges together firmly
Crimp the edges with a fork or twist to seal
Cut a few small slits on top for steam to escape
Brush the top with olive oil or egg wash
Sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, or Parmesan if desired
Place on a baking sheet or pizza stone
Bake for 18 to 25 minutes until golden brown
Let cool slightly before slicing and serving
