Start with a square sheet of paper
Fold it diagonally in half
Unfold it
Fold it diagonally the other way
Unfold it
Fold it in half horizontally
Unfold it
Fold it in half vertically
Unfold it
Bring the top corners inward to form a smaller square
Fold the left and right edges of the top layer to the center line
Fold the top triangle down
Unfold the last three folds
Lift the bottom point upward while folding the side edges inward
Flatten into a long diamond shape
Flip the paper over
Repeat the side folds on the other side
Fold the left and right edges of the top layer to the center line again
Fold the top triangle down
Unfold the last three folds
Lift the bottom point upward while folding the side edges inward
Flatten into a long diamond shape
Fold the lower outer edges of the top layer to the center line
Fold the right flap inward
Fold the left flap inward
Repeat on the back side
Fold one bottom point upward to make the head or tail
Fold the other bottom point upward to make the neck or tail
Pull out the neck and tail gently
Fold the tip of the neck down to form the head
Shape the wings by pulling them outward
Press all folds firmly
