Sift 1 cup powdered sugar into a bowl
Add 1 to 2 tablespoons milk, water, or juice
Stir until smooth
Add more liquid a little at a time for a thinner glaze
Add more powdered sugar for a thicker glaze
Mix in vanilla extract or other flavoring if desired
Use immediately on cooled baked goods
