Open Gmail
Click your profile picture in the top right
Sign out of all Google accounts
Sign in to the Gmail account you want as default first
After that, sign in to any other Google accounts you use
Check that the first signed-in account is the one you want as default
If needed, open Google services in a new tab and confirm the default account is being used
