How to Make Lemoncello?

Wash 8–10 lemons well

Peel the yellow zest only, avoiding the white pith

Place the peels in a large glass jar

Add 750 ml vodka

Seal the jar tightly

Store in a cool, dark place for 7–14 days

Shake the jar gently once a day

In a saucepan, combine 3 cups water and 2 cups sugar

Heat until the sugar dissolves

Let the syrup cool completely

Strain the lemon peels from the vodka

Mix the infused vodka with the cooled syrup

Pour into clean bottles

Seal and refrigerate or freeze

Serve chilled
