Choose a fresh, thick aloe vera leaf
Wash the leaf thoroughly
Cut off the serrated edges
Slice the leaf open lengthwise
Scoop out the clear aloe gel
Rinse the gel to remove yellow latex
Place the gel in a blender
Add water or juice if desired
Blend until smooth
Strain the mixture if a thinner juice is wanted
Serve chilled
Store leftovers in a sealed container in the refrigerator
