Smelt iron ore into iron ingots
Craft iron ingots into rails using 6 iron ingots and 1 stick
Place rails on solid blocks
Connect rail pieces to extend the track
Use powered rails to move minecarts faster
Craft powered rails using gold ingots, sticks, and redstone
Place a minecart on the rails
Push the minecart to start it moving
Add redstone power to activate powered rails
Build curves, slopes, and intersections as needed
