Turn on the PS4
Connect the new controller to the PS4 with a USB cable
Press the PS button on the controller
Wait for the light bar to turn on
Unplug the USB cable after pairing
If needed, go to Settings
Select Devices
Select Bluetooth Devices
Choose the controller if it appears in the list
Press the PS button again if pairing does not start
Try a different USB cable if the controller does not connect
