How To Prepare Brown Rice?

Rinse the brown rice under cold water until the water runs mostly clear

Measure 1 cup of brown rice and 2 to 2.5 cups of water

Add the rice and water to a pot

Bring the water to a boil

Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot

Simmer for 35 to 45 minutes, or until the water is absorbed

Turn off the heat and let the rice sit covered for 10 minutes

Fluff the rice with a fork before serving
