Preheat a skillet, grill, or oven
Add a little oil if using a pan
Sear the sirloin over high heat for 2 to 4 minutes per side
Lower the heat or move to the oven to finish cooking
Cook to your preferred doneness
Rest the steak for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing
Slice against the grain before serving
