How to Put a Line for Signature on Word?

Place the cursor where you want the signature line

Go to the Insert tab

Click Signature Line in the Text group

Select Microsoft Office Signature Line

Fill in the signer details if prompted

Click OK

A signature line will appear in the document

To add a simple line, type three underscores and press Enter

Or go to Home

Click the Borders drop-down

Choose Bottom Border

Adjust the line length by pressing Tab or using spaces if needed
